HSU Students & Alumni Honor Ms. Bobbie Chew

Ms. Bobbie has impacted the lives of many students through her years at Hardin-Simmons. Her smile and authentic character define her as she takes the opportunity to encourage all those who cross her path. Our accomplishments are stronger because of people like Ms. Bobbie.

Today, current and former students are saying "thank you" through the establishment of the Ms. Bobbie Chew Fund. Join your fellow classmates in saying thanks to Ms. Bobbie by making a gift today.

Those who contribute to the Ms. Bobbie Chew Fund will vote on how the funds should be used (scholarships, meal plans, etc.). Ms. Bobbie will be notified of all who give her honor annually.

Ms Bobbie Chew

"To me, there is no greater picture of Jesus than a Servant's Heart, and that is what Ms. Bobbie's smiling  face displays to everyone who walks into the caf each day. She is a blessing, and I still smile each time she crosses my mind. That's real impact. I see no better way to honor her than to make it possible for more students to experience the school she serves so well."     Jessica (Jones) Mannon '10

“Ms. Bobbie started working at Hardin-Simmons the same year I came as a freshman (2007). She always had a hug and a kind word of encouragement for me. Even during my later years when I lived off campus, whenever I passed by she’d make a point to check up on me. I was on campus not long ago and Ms. Bobbie called me by name and welcomed me with her familiar smile. I can’t even start to describe how wonderful it was to know that she was proud of me and the man I had become.”  Andrew Derton ’11

"There are many members of the Hardin-Simmons University family that make it a point each day to let you know that they care. Ms. Bobbie is one of those people. I first encountered Ms. Bobbie during the New Student Orientation my freshman year. I knew she was a special woman when the upperclassmen involved in NSO knew her name, and she knew many of their names. She was more than just the lady who worked in the cafeteria, but someone who keeps the school running in her own special way. Throughout the years I have enjoyed having loving people on campus, and Ms. Bobbie is definitely among those people. I cannot imagine Hardin-Simmons without Ms. Bobbie!"  Danielle Noble '13
