Donor support is crucial to the success and sustainability of Hardin-Simmons University. All gifts help shape the overall HSU experience.
Did you know that a gift at any level - even $5 - to any designation on campus makes a difference?
Over 3,300 alumni, exes, friends and organizations provided a gift last year; here are some reasons they told us why they give to HSU.
To Support Students
There are more than 2,000 reasons to support HSU. Those reasons spend their days engaged in lively discussions with professors and classmates, competing on athletic fields, and working in the community.
To Say “Thanks”
A donation provides a means of expressing gratitude for a life-changing experience that you had at Hardin-Simmons.
Few people are ever able to give buildings or endow a faculty position, but many can provide an endorsement of an experience.
To Help Maintain Excellence
Financial support is central to HSU’s efforts to recruit and retain the best faculty and staff members. In addition, the University must keep its curriculum, technology, facilities, and equipment up to date if it is to provide the highest quality of education and remain competitive.
To Show Your Vote of Confidence
No matter the size, every gift makes a difference and counts as a positive vote for the future of HSU and our students. For the alumni community, a gift is the only measure by which the University can gauge customer satisfaction. The overall alumni giving percentage is used by organizations such as U.S. News & World Report to formulate college rankings.
To Help With the Cost of Education
Tuition doesn't cover the cost of educating students. It doesn't now, nor will it in the future. In fact, costs are outpacing the college’s sources of revenue, and private support must continue to increase in order to maintain the quality of education provided by Hardin-Simmons University.
